I am based 5 minutes' walk from the 89, 244 and 486 bus routes on Shooters Hill Road. The closest bus stops are Memorial Hospital and Shooters Hill/The Bull.
You are free to park on the road outside. Please be aware that space availability can fluctuate throughout the day and so you may need to walk a short distance.
I can not offer step-free access to my counselling room, but I am happy to work with you via online or phone.
My sessions are 50 minutes long.
I am not able to offer longer sessions than 50 minutes, but we can work to accommodate your needs within the standard session length if necessary.
Many people start with around six sessions, but this is flexible. We will review how things are going and decide together what feels right for you.
All sessions, whether face-to-face, online or phone-based, are £50.
The best way to pay is via bank transfer. I will provide you with my bank details once we have arranged a session. Payment should be the day before the session.
If you know in advance that you are not going to be able to make a session time then please let me know as soon as possible so we can rebook. Please aim to let me know 24 hours in advance; short-notice cancellations (barring emergencies) may still be charged.
I am not able to offer a space to wait, so please do not aim to arrive long before your session time.
If you are running late, please let me know as soon as is convenient. Please note that our session will still end at the originally-intended time.
If you miss a session, I will contact you to check that everything is okay. Please let me know if there are any issues as soon as possible. If you miss a session without notice, it may still be charged. I understand that things happen, so please let me know as soon as you can if something comes up. Note that if you miss two sessions in a row then I may terminate our contract.
You are free to end counselling at any time. If possible, I recommend having a final session so we can reflect on your progress and bring things to a natural close.
While I am experienced in working with young people from 11 up, I do not presently work with children under this age.
I do not presently offer couples counselling, though I am happy to work with individual clients in regards to relationship concerns.
Yes, I am happy to work with any counselling trainees who require therapy hours for their qualification. Please contact me for further details.
The first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We will talk about what has brought you to counselling and what you would like help with. You don’t need to have everything figured out. You can take things at your own pace.
It’s important that you feel comfortable with your counsellor. If you have any concerns, we can talk about them openly. If I’m not the right fit, I can help you think about other options.
